Lynne Hayes had a vision of what horse boarding should be. She was tired of the drama and inadequate care her horses received at the barns she boarded at, and dreamt of a place where like minded people came together to share their love of horses in a happy, healthy, peaceful and clean environment.

In August 2011, Lynne made this dream a reality, and Horse Spirit Ranch was born. Formerly the famous Khemosabi breeding farm, the property sat with empty pastures and a silent barn. Lynne breathed life back into the grounds, and slowly the ranch began to blossom, this time, with a different purpose.

Horse Spirit Ranch has raised the standards of horse boarding in Southern California. As a barn, we strive for excellence in all aspects.  From our barn managers to our ranch hands, your horse’s care, hay quality and even manure control is our top priority. Our staff maintains a high level of professionalism, while making Horse Spirit Ranch feel like home. Our ranch hands work hard every day keeping the grounds pristine, caring for and monitoring horses, removing manure from stalls and pastures, cleaning water troughs daily, and feeding twice a day. We host natural horsemanship clinics at least once a month, and are always looking for new clinicians or events. We are a no drama facility, nor will we tolerate any harsh horse handling.

Our friendly barn staff prides themselves on making Horse Spirit Ranch a warm, family like community and takes the utmost care of each and every horse as if they were their own.

We strive to have at least one clinic each month, where we can all come together and deepen our relationship with our horses and advance our horsemanship skills, either on the ground or in the saddle.
